A sculptural lamp crafted from off-white, chamotte clay and finished with matte white enamel. It has a fluted stem and raised arms, which hold up the edge of the natural raffia shade. The lamp comes wired with medium base socket and US or EU plug with on/off cord switch.

Marta Bonilla designs and creates her pieces in Barcelona, where her studio is located. She started with ceramics a few years ago, and was totally hooked on the material and the freedom that it allowed. She finds inspiration in everyday life, in her surroundings, in the beauty and simplicity of small details, and in art. Art such as the Rationalist architecture along the Mediterranean or the work of Joan Miro. Her work is handmade with the modeling technique and her motivation when working is that the object does not lose its naturalness and we see the traces of the creation process. All the pieces are designed to fulfil two objectives : the coexistence of functionality and design. Bonilla's pieces reflect the local landscape, capturing the city's mix of nature and design. With terracotta tones and an unfinished edge, her work has the ability to both ground a space and transport you.
